Is this a long lost recording from the Soviet spy agency? Nope, it's Radio KGB in San Diego, where Tom Maule is playing the hits and misses of December 1964.

Aircheck Of The Week
It's December 1968 on New York's 77 WABC. Chuck Leonard is filling in for overnight man Charlie Greer, and it's time for WABC's year-end Top 100 of 1968, brought to you by Denison Men's Clothiers. I've remixed the entire aircheck in stereo, so you can listen to vintage WABC as you've never heard it before.

Aircheck Of The Week
It’s November 1968, as Bob-A-Loo (Bob Lewis) previews the yet-to-be-released new Beatles album. The music is low-fidelity, as WABC-FM had obtained it from a bootleg source. The fun part of this aircheck is the advance information that Bob-A-Loo provides about the upcoming (White) album, most of which turned out to be wrong.

Aircheck Of The Week
If you lived in Oakland in October 1962, you probably listened to “Casey-At-The-Mic.” That was Casey Kasem’s pre-AT40 persona. Freaking ponderous, isn’t it?

Aircheck Of The Week
It’s October 1969 in Hartford, CT. And here’s a real treat: over 3 hours of the legendary Jackson Armstrong. Jack held the Guinness world record as the world’s fastest-talking human. In a nationwide listeners poll, he came in at #2 behind Dan Ingram. Listen and enjoy, courtesy of Boss Radio 66.

Aircheck Of The Week
Only 3 days after Gary Stevens left WMCA/New York (see the previous Aircheck Of The Week), it was Harry Harrison’s turn to move on. This is Harry’s last WMCA show, preceded by the end of Dandy Dan Daniel’s show, and followed by “your main man Jake”, Jack Spector. By the following week, WMCA sounded like a completely different station. Meanwhile, Harry became WABC’s “Morning Mayor”, replacing Herb Oscar Anderson. It’s September 1968 and changes are in the air on Boss Radio 66.
