Holland Rocks Edition 4 Fame Studios

With Wim Deen

This hour of music is dedicated to FAME studios. FAME studios was founded in 1959 by Rick Hall in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Hall offered a safe haven where blacks and whites could work together in musical harmony, despite the fact that racism was rampant in the area at that time. FAME Studios became the starting point for the musical careers of the Rolling Stones, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin and many others. The studio, owned by Hall until his death in 2018, is still actively operating.

This collection by Boss Radio 66 of Fame Studios is a joy to listen! I visited Fame and Muscle Shoals Recording Studios in Summer of 2022 and could really feel the vibes from both historic locations! This is where the most authentic American Music was made and Boss Radio salutes that great era! All music fans should visit these historic places! Thanks for assembling such a wonderful list from Fame, Boss Radio 66!
