Crayons to Perfume's Girl of the week is Chris Clark who shows us Opposites Attract!

Chris Clark's story is definitely one of Opposites Attracting! She was one of the few Caucasian singers for Motown - her voice didn't really fit their imprint, but she had the style and the soul, and Berry Gordy believed in her. Chris leads a gaggle of groovy girls who explore all manner of opposites attracting on tonights Crayons To Perfume!

Last Wednesday, Crayons to Perfume changed our broadcast date, and went LIVE on the WFMUIchiban stream - now Wednesday evenings at 7pm, our show is archived shortly after that - you can find a link to all of our past shows if you look to the right of your screen.

Our show featured ladies who play instruments in groups - of course Bo Diddley's gunslingerettes: The Duchess and the Lady Bo, as well as skin bashers Jan Ashton/Errico and Honeylantree plus a host of other talented gals. It's a very different Crayons to Perfume, and you won't want to miss it!

Crayons To Perfume's Girl of the Week is Christine Pilzer and the fabulous Femmes de Francais!

Christine Pilzer was the ultimate ye-ye girl! A disc jockey, a mod, a teenager in France who loved just being a teenager! Sneaking out from her parents, hanging with her gang, loving pop music, fashion and comics. She was also an illustrator for comic books! But the one thing she had not done was make a record - and so she did!

Christine is one of the few ye-ye girls who was able to take a light hearted approach to her two EP musical career, and be in control of it - and it's why she still enjoys the memories. See her perform, looking almost exactly as she did in the 60's in her bowl haircut with petite figure and mod dress - with Les Terribles in 2006!
