We Ain't Got Nothing Yet

Von Zipper's Previous Gig

Lone Wolf

Looking at the tiny repro of this plaque in J.C. Whitney ads all these years (or was it Honest Charley? My files are not accessible), I never realized that the wolf is crying. Puts a whole different slant on things. This ran me $5.00 at a flea market in Kannapolis, NC.

Wind it up, baby!

I have the box, but not the toy.

This has become my favorite Advertising image of the last century. I have no idea who painted it, but I eat Beans from the can with this look on my face once a week. My Wife is tired of it.

Laffo.

She is a looker. The Master Chuck Jones.

There is nothing unsettling about this.

Dolls some more

Once Butch Patrick shot me a bird in Austin, TX, for asking for his autograph. We had been drinking all day with the guy who's Dad had built Dean Martin's Falcon Station Wagon in the Matt Helm Movie "The Silencers."

I said, "Hold up Jerk, YOU are NO Ken Weatherwax."

That started a confrontation that ended up with him remembering me years later, and giving me a signed 8x10.

It's in my Bathroom to this day.
