With great personalities like Herb Kent, Lucky Cordell, and Cecil Hale, WVON was the voice of Chicago's Black community. Here's a rare slice of Black radio as it was with Bill "Butterball" Crane during the Summer Of Love. It's August 1967 on Boss Radio 66.
