Johnny Jenkins And The Pinetoppers
Love Twist was a hit in Macon, Georgia in the early 1960's. When The Pinetoppers went back into the studio for the follow up, Otis used the extra studio time to record "These Arms Of Mine".

Newton Collier Month
Newton Collier was decended from Charles Collier who owned the Silas Green Show, one of the country's largest vaudeville troupes. His parents led a group called The International Sweethearts Of Rhythm.
He started taking piano lessons from Gladys Williams at age 9. He came for a lesson one day and Sammy Davis Jr. was hanging out on the couch. Sammy handed Newton his first trumpet and that was all it took. Newt was listening to Hamp Swain on WIBB and began sneaking into parties. He was playing with Johnny Jenkins and the Pinetoppers by age 16. Sam & Dave hired him when he was 17. He's appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show, Merv Griffin and The Beat!!!!
