Homer and Jethro
Henry "Homer" Haynes (1920-1971) and Kenneth "Jethro" Burns (1920-1989) were session musicians until they convinced Syd Nathan of King Records to let them release a comedy album. They had one hit with "I Feel That Old Age Creeping On" then moved to RCA Records when Syd stole the song and had Wynonie Harris record it as "I Feel That Old Age Coming On". That's Showbiz.
May is Homer & Jethro month on Ichiban. Do the Homer & Jethro Boogie to get yourself in the mood.
