Coventry Fairchild was the lead singer of Miami 60's folk-rock outfit The Clefs of Lavender Hill. Still in her teens, Coventry had the voice of a far more mature woman. She sang with her brother Travis, usually in duets that he wrote; the most well known of which is 'Stop, Get A Ticket'.
Here's a fab, catchy song Coventry, and her band did for Date Records, Travis wrote it!

ReplyDeleteAre you the same Brian Phillips that made this post in 2003? If so, you wondered whatever became of Joe Lee. I'm one of his nephews and, as of now, he's living in Hawaii near Mountain View. He's still alive and kicking but is 77 now. His son Bobby died in a prison riot, his other son Jonathan lives on Maui I believe, and his ex wife Gloria hasn't been heard from in years. Hope this was helpful
