Lanz Miles - That Fly Belongs To Me
There sure is a lot going on in this song. R&B vocals, Country/Jazz instrumentation, Outer Space, Singing Flies... What more could you want? And just dig that label art!

I picked up a record called the The World of Las Vegas by Ken "Nevada" Maines mostly for the lp cover of all the old Vegas hotel/casino signs. There is a version of this song on that album minus the vocals, replaced by hammond organ. Your description of this song describes the whole record. There is a song called "The shooting of Governor Wallace ( Jack - Bobby and Martin Luther too) that goes beyond bad taste. Let me know if anyone wants me to convert it to mp3s. johnnyvendetta@hotmail.com
I know I'd like to hear it.
Johnny Vendetta - You need to ask? It's your duty!

Now that you mention it, I see that both sides of this record were written by Ken Maines.
There's more info on this fantastic album and it's two associated 45s over on my own blog The World's Worst Records: http://worldsworstrecords.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/world-of-las-vegas.html
Cool. Thanks Darryl!
