Anna
Arthur didn't like the Beatles' version of "Anna". He thought they were "little girl shit". He preferred the Stones' version of "You Better Move On".
Arthur had one of the richest voices in the business, and "Anna" is a song I'd take to a desert island with me! What a great artiste to devote a month to, he deserves every second!
I absolutely DUG The Beatles version of "Anna". I mean how can you even pretend to say that Lennon's voice isn't 100% into the lyrics of that song. It's the single reason I got turned onto Arthur. After hearing The Beatles do "Anna", I searched out the original & then went on a quest to find out more about A.A.
@Timmy - the British Invasion helped a lot of young Americans discover and appreciate their musical heritage, hidden from them by crass commercialism and plain old racism. As for this song, it's my favorite by AA. The heartbreak.....
