If you grew up in the New York area & were a second generation "Monster Kid", you know the insane 70's Chiller Theater show opening...i obsessed on this for decades till the internet & YouTube appeared & i finally got to see this over & over again...i can just watch this 20 odd seconds forever...
OK, if you can find this and the horror host stuff, how about a clip from the "Bozo Eats His Lunch" (not the real name) mid-day show that two people from NJ have told me they saw as a kid? Apparently a man in Bozo make-up would come out, sit at a table with his lunch and introduce cartoon clips.

I grew up with the weekend creature features, although up in Maine, where they did not bother to have hosts or intros, just the usual announcer using perhaps a "spooky" voice (like Count Floyd).
