In September 2000, EMI sold the tower and adjacent properties for $50 million to a New York developer named Argent Ventures.
Presently, construction of a condominium and underground parking lot on the adjacent property threatens the studio. Pile drivers are working within 18 feet of the underground echo chambers (reverb bunkers designed by Les Paul that are 20 feet down).
Well, what is the issue? Are they going to topple the building? WHAT? And, what can we do to help?
