Dolls some more
Once Butch Patrick shot me a bird in Austin, TX, for asking for his autograph. We had been drinking all day with the guy who's Dad had built Dean Martin's Falcon Station Wagon in the Matt Helm Movie "The Silencers."
I said, "Hold up Jerk, YOU are NO Ken Weatherwax."
That started a confrontation that ended up with him remembering me years later, and giving me a signed 8x10.
It's in my Bathroom to this day.

Hell Bent for....MILAN!
Here is the “re-issue” of the year as far as I’m concerned. Hell Bent For Leather, is a 19 track compendium of songs by such fascinating artists as; Milan, The World of Milan, Head Shop, The Unclaimed, The Leather Boy, etc. What do all the tracks have in common? Behind them all is the mastermind, “MILAN!”
Between the years of 1962 to 1969 Milan released or produced some truly amazing slabs of wax. Most folks are familiar with the track; ON THE GO, by The Leather Boy, which has appeared on numerous compilations and spawned an amazing “updating” a few years back by The Oblivians. Some of his other songs appeared on a few compilations of 60’s garage/psych over the years.
This is the first, to my knowledge, compilation of some, but not all, of his work.
Side A is all Milan, Side B, all songs that he produced or arranged.
There is truly something for everyone on this release, searing garage, psychedelic sound effects, a Christmas song, gum chewing pop, and even a shade of exotica (Bongo, Bongo!)
This is an LP only release of dubious origin. I think it originated out of France and is available at many online retailers.
