I was going to say...I've seen this photo before with the same thing - San Francisco. I may be crazy, and I don't know everything, but that said, I don't think SF ever had a Whiskey.
And check out the Atlanta version, with its name toned-down to the Whisk A Go Go to avoid upsetting the religion crowd by placing the word Whiskey in the name of the business. It was an officially franchised location, though.
